Hospitality Center - Rocky Mountain Adventure
This is a 8-day backpacking adventure specifically for HCC students and an excellent opportunity to experience the wonder of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, challenging yourself to a week-long backpacking adventure that is sure to be a life-long memory!
Wild Hearts will provide all necessary equipment, food for the week and guides. We will also provide transportation out there and back, some training before the trip. All of this is provided for just $695 per person! Participants will be responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, personal items and money for food on the way there and back and souvenirs..
This backpacking trip will be done as a complete group, moving at the pace necessary for the whole group. We will be tenting in group tents, we will be cooking together and we will have the opportunity to summit a 14,000'+ peak if conditions permit.
This trip is for men and women, 16 or older.
This promises to be an amazing adventure for those who are up for some mountain fun!
Important Notes!
- Our trips have a registration fee. This fee is applied to the total cost of your trip... it is NOT an additional fee.
- 7 days after approval of your registration, the application fee is non-refundable.
- This trip has an additional deposit requirement before the due date of the total cost. Please take note of when that is due.
- Please understand that cancellations have great impact on our trips and can result in someone who wanted to participate missing out. If you register and then need to cancel, please contact us immediately.

Requirements
Responsibilities
- Setting up and tearing down camp each day.
- Cleaning up after meals.
- Carrying backpack with personal and group gear.
- Build up and encourage your teammates!
Restrictions
- Must be 16 years or older.
- Must be in reasonable physical condition to hike in mountains at elevation.
- Must be able to carry a full-size backpack while hiking each day.
- Must be legally allowed to travel across state lines.
Preparation
- Apply to go on the trip with us!
- Recommended that you start walking a lot... build up those legs!
- Climbs some hills, get used to going up and down.
- Start carrying a pack when you walk... even if you start small. It will help!
- Have and use the boots you are going to hike in. It's important that your feet are used to them!
